Gila Monster: A species of venomous lizard native to the southwestern United States. A heavy, sluggish-moving lizard, up to 2.zero ft long, the Gila monster is the one venomous lizard native to the United States and one in all only two identified species of venomous lizards in North America, the other being its shut relative, the Mexican beaded lizard.
